How many times do you say you’re “too busy” to do something? Once a week? Once a day?
We live in a world where everyone is constantly telling everyone else how busy they are. Just think how many times you use that word in a day!
I totally get it — I get caught in the busy trap, too. But it took a shift to actually realize it and do something about it.
For me, it looked something like this:
I had a mile long list of things I wanted to get to — all things I was excited about and grateful to work on. It was my friend’s birthday and she wanted to hang at the beach, so I headed down there and was calculating how long I was going to stay before I could “go do all my other stuff.”
Half hours turned into hours. A couple hours turned into even more hours. And soon enough, the sun started to set. It was so good for my soul, and the perfect reminder that new memories and time spent with friends are truly irreplaceable!
So tell me… what would happen if you set “busy” aside for a moment? Or even a whole day? Chances are, you’ll come back refreshed, recharged, and ready to accomplish even MORE because your cup is full.
Will you promise me something? Will you take some time for YOU this week? I’ll do the same. Deal? Deal.
