Goal-Setting Tips For The New Year

Dec 31, 2017

It’s the last day of 2017! Can you believe it?!

Last week I mentioned you shouldn’t let the shenanigans of the new year (AKA those trendy resolutions) stop you from recognizing how much of a badass you are RIGHT NOW and all you’ve accomplished.

But there’s no rule that says you can’t maintain your gratitude for the present moment without looking ahead and striving to do better.

So today, I want to talk about goal setting… and not the “goal setting” we see so often this time of year.

I’m talking about actually envisioning what you want 2018 to look like — setting real, sustainable goals that complement all you’ve already achieved.

Because if you can envision what you want to accomplish, then why wouldn’t you believe you can achieve it?!

Ready to dive in? Here are a few questions to get you started:

  • What do I want to achieve in 2018?
  • How can I build on the success I’ve had this past year?
  • What does my ideal 2018 look like?

Take some time to reflect on what YOU want to make 2018 all about. Once you have your goals in mind, write those suckers down! You’d be amazed at how helpful it can be to see your goals every day.

But most importantly, remember that you are amazing already. Goal setting for 2018 shouldn’t be about redoing your life… it should be about building upon your awesome.

Happy New Year!
