Mother's Day Gift Ideas!

Mother's Day is around the corner and whether you're a mom (hellooo to treating yourself!) or you're seeking gift ideas for your mom... look no further!

I've gathered some fun products from Vitacost to share with you all today. I buy all of my baking and cooking ingredients from Vitacost, and I figured "Why not also get items that can be used as gifts?!"

One of the products I found is some deliciousss chocolate, so in addition to sharing the chocolate I also created a doughnut recipe for you all (just hand it off to the kiddos and have them bake it for you for Mother's Day)!

CHOCOLATE

Let's start with the chocolate + doughnut recipe. Because... doughnuts.

The chocolate you can find on Vitacost is by HuKitchen. I used this Crunchy Banana Dark Chocolate flavor as seen below. It literally has chunks of dried banana!

Now for the chocolate doughnut recipe:

Chocolate Doughnuts w/ Crunchy Banana & Dark Chocolate Topping:

Doughnuts:

• 3/4 cup almond flour
• 2/3 cup cocoa powder
• 1/3 cup maple syrup
• 2 eggs
• 1/4 cup almond butter
• 1/2  cup almond milk

Topping:

• 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
• 1 tbsp coconut oil
• Crunchy Banana Hu Kitchen Dark Chocolate Bar

Directions:

1. Combine all doughnut ingredients. Pour into doughnut pan or muffin tin.
2. Bake at 350F for 15 minutes.
3. Melt chocolate chips and coconut oil in microwave for 60 seconds and pour onto doughnuts.
4. Crush chocolate bar and sprinkle on top of doughnuts.

BUBBLE BATH

Next up... bubble bath! My Mom LOVES baths and I always remember getting her new bubbles or candles for her to take a relaxing bath. This bubble bath is by Deep Steep, has a grapefruit scent, and is made with coconut oil and shea butter.

SALT CRYSTAL w/ COCONUT WAX TEA LIGHTS

I've seen salt crystals pop-up like crazy. My mother-in-law is obsessed w/ these. I actually had no idea you could find a salt crystal on Vitacost and they have the tea light inserts as well!

ALMONDS

Did you grow up with a candy bowl always accessible? I know I did at my grandma's house! I'm sharing some simple, organic raw Vitacost almonds as an idea, because they're the perfect healthy treat.

FACE MASKS

I'll be honest, I only like face masks because they're fun, lol! I am sharing these Acure face masks from Vitacost because they look, well, fun! Not intimidating or trying to be too fancy. These are sample packs but they also have a tube available w/ the mask.

LAVENDER OIL

Ok, essential oils are 'all the craze,' but I swear by lavender oil to fall asleep. I actually received an oil diffuser from my fiance for my birthday last year and I have it by my bed with lavender oil. This is the perfect gift for yourself as a momma or There are tons of options for oils out there and many are verryyyyy passionate about the brand they promote. I use this Vitacost brand because I can purchase it along w/ my other ingredients -- so this is what I personally use.
