It’s fall, y’all!
Okay, okay… you caught me. It’s pretty sunny and mild here in California, BUT… it’s still fall, and to honor the season, I’ve got a delicious (and warm) chowder recipe for you today.
This recipe is incredibly simple, AND the ingredients cost way less than eating out (just sayin’).
Here’s how to whip it together:
Chop 1/2lb red potatoes and bring to a boil until softened.
If you follow me on Instagram, then you’ve probably seen that every week, my husband Mike and I take dogs from our local shelter (@pricelesspetrescue) on a hike! The dogs are SO happy to get out and get some exercise!
It’s quickly become my favorite day of the week, and has made SUCH an impact on me that I decided to do more! I started donating 100% of ALL Jazzy Cookbook sales to these rescue animals.
You guys… just by posting about this on Instagram, we’ve...
There’s a lot of talk about “portion sizes” and “portion control” in relation to eating healthy / losing weight.
Some people say to eat a lot of small meals, others say eat a few large meals, and there are others who say something in between!
Can I get real with you?
Portion sizes are somewhat of an imaginary concept. What matters is energy in vs. energy out!
If we’re looking at the big picture, it doesn’t matter...
I get asked all the time how I stay so positive and optimistic, so today, I’m sharing my secret sauce!
But before I do, I want to set the record straight…
I’m human. And as a human, I am not immune to days where I feel “off” or icky or whatever else you want to call it. But this ONE thing keeps me from staying in that negative space all day.
And that’s gratitude.
It’s hard to be down in the dumps when we have SO many...
If you know anything about me, you know that I LOVE pizza — and while I maaay be iffy about sharing my zucchini pizza bites, I am 100% NOT iffy about sharing the recipe for this deliciousness!
This recipe is perfect for kiddos, perfect for a snack, perfect to eat all by yourself (I volunteer as tribute ). But the best part about it? It’s perfectly easy to make!!
Here’s how you do it:
First, make a homemade pizza sauce by combining 4 oz tomato...
Stop me if this sound familiar:

Do you find yourself thinking a lot about moderation when you think about living a healthy lifestyle?
Talk of moderation is EVERYWHERE! Whether it’s about moderating your eating, your behaviors, your habits, or some other aspect of your life… it seems like control is a huge factor in the healthy living conversation.
But what if moderation is more about what’s happening on the inside?
Back in the day, I used to be immersed in counting macros. I really...
Let’s talk motivation!
I see you out there setting goals and going after them… and that’s awesome!
But if we’re being honest, sometimes life happens.
You know what I’m talking about! You’re trucking along, making serious progress toward what you want to achieve, when all of a sudden something pops up that has the potential to throw you way off track.
So how do you stay motivated?
For me, it’s all about my WHY....
If kicking off Sunday with cookies is wrong, then I don’t want to be right! I’ve got a maple brown sugar protein cookie recipe for you, and oh-em-gee they are delicious!
Now these cookies aren’t just any cookies… they’re made with Bubs Naturals collagen protein!
Bubs Naturals is my new, go-to protein powder. Once I started cooking and baking with Bubs Naturals, I haven’t gone back to whey protein. I’ve been so impressed with...
If you’ve been following me on Instagram, you know I’ve been LOVING Instagram’s new questions feature where you can ask me questions in my stories and I can answer them there!
One of the things I get asked about most frequently is my opinion on certain diets/eating lifestyles, like intermittent fasting, carb cycling, keto, etc. And while I love sharing my thoughts (and will continue to do so!), I had to come to you with some real talk today.
